Here is a virtual reality model of my house. It is quite incomplete but what has been achieved so far is that result of many hours work. When you enter you will find yourself on the Moon, you will be unable to see my house but you will if you wait a while see the motion of the Sun as it illuminates the earth from one side. You will be able to select from many viewpoint about my house and if you are facing West you will see the Sun rise. Next to my house is the Kew Bridge steam museum it has a tall tower that can be seen from miles around. I have yet to give my house windows, walls and a roof. There are also features like the car port and drain pipe at the front of the house I have yet to construct. I have constructed the garden walls using extrutions they are of a fairly complex shape and some have nice smooth converse. I have also constructed three doors these are nearly identical except for the colour of the paint work. I am particularly proud of my door knockers. I have yet to add animation enabling them to be used.
I have used some bitmaps one to create a sign that hangs on the London post to the North and another is a map on the ground that can be viewed from above. I did try texture mapping bricks on to the tower but despite my best efforts the result looked horrible unless you were very close.
